Individual Medical Malpractice and Liability Insurance
Paramedics and EMTs sometimes work privately or independently as self-employed practitioners. Without group Medical Malpractice and Public Liability cover from an employer, you will be personally accountable for anything that might go wrong while you work independently.
Unlike the indemnity provided by Medical Defence Organisations (MDOs), this cover is portable, which means you will be able to work for one or more employers within your individual scope of practice.
We will tailor your insurance package to meet your exact needs. For instance, our premiums vary depending on your qualification, whether you are a paramedic, an advanced paramedic, a consultant paramedic, an EMT, or a first responder.
Our Paramedic Insurance is the only cover that is recommended by the College of Paramedics.
Who should apply
Paramedics who are personally accountable when working privately as an independent self-employed practitioner or limited company. Premiums vary according to qualification and the type of work undertaken.
Non Registered Healthcare Professionals this may include, but is not limited to Community First Responders, Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Ambulance Crew and Ambulance Care Assistant. College of Paramedics membership is a requirement.
