Barber Shop insurance

Since 1982, independent Lloyd’s broker James Hallam has provided dedicated insurance and risk management solutions to hundreds of barber shops across the UK since 1982. We will help you find tailored cover that meets all of your needs at a competitive price.

What is barber shop insurance?

If you run a barber shop, dedicated barber shop insurance can cover you, your customers, your employees, and your equipment for the unique risks you will face in your business.

We can tailor a bespoke barber shop insurance package for you whether you run a single barber shop, or a chain of barbers.

Standard business insurance packages might include serious gaps in the cover, or they might include certain limitations that leave you underinsured. Or, they leave you paying too much for cover that you do not really need. Only bespoke, specialist barber shop insurance will cover you for all risks at a fair price.

Does Barbers’ Insurance Cover Freelance or Mobile Barbers?

We can also tailor your cover depending on the specific services you offer, and depending on whether you employ staff full-time, if you lease chairs to independent barbers or if you’re a freelance or mobile barber yourself.

What does barber shop insurance cover?

  • Buildings and Contents Insurance – Cover for your barber shop, along with all of your stock and equipment, against the risks of fire, flood, and break-ins.
  • Barber Liability Insurance – Public liability insurance will cover you for any claims made by customers should you, for example, injure them while giving them a haircut. Employer’s liability insurance will cover your staff for any injuries they may sustain while at work.
  • Business Interruption Insurance – If a fire, flood, break-in, or other event forces you to close your barber shop, business interruption insurance can cover your overheads until you are able to start trading again.

Why choose James Hallam for your bakery insurance

We know that no two barber shops are quite the same. This is why we will take the time to get to know you and your business. When we understand the unique risks you are facing, we can tailor an insurance package that meets all of your needs, along with your budget.

Louise Kennon

Louise’s insurance career began in 1999, working initially as a Trainee in Private Clients within a community based Brokerage. She duly became a Commercial Account Executive in 2010. The Brokerage was acquired by James Hallam in 2017. Following further local acquisitions, a major restructure of the operations in Scotland was undertaken leading to a dedicated SME Department being formed in Dumfries.
